Process flow of aluminum die casting

2021-08-23
The four basic processes in the die-casting aluminum industry are annealing, normalizing, quenching and tempering. These four processes are called the "four fires" in die-casting. In the process of die-casting, quenching and tempering are closely related. , Both are indispensable.

Annealing: It is to heat the workpiece. When it is heated to the appropriate temperature, the die-casting is slowly cooled according to the different materials used, and the internal structure of the metal is close to equilibrium.

Normalizing: Heat the workpiece to a suitable temperature and then cool it in the air. It is mainly used to improve the cutting function of the material, and it can also be used to finish die-casting some parts that require less.

Quenching: After the joint building is heated and insulated, it is rapidly cooled in water, or other inorganic salt solutions and other quenching media. After this process, the steel parts produced will become hard and also make the steel parts brittle. In order to reduce the brittleness of steel parts.

Tempering: Place the quenched steel parts at a temperature below 650 degrees Celsius and higher than normal temperature for long-term heat preservation, and then cool.
